Sidelights on Gratifying Achievements Made by CASIC in 10-month Cloud Marketing

“A total of 3,384 transactions has been made through cloud marketing, resulting in a total contract value of RMB 14.7 billion of which RMB 15.0548 million has been cashed.” This is an impressive achievement made by CASIC in its 10-month cloud marketing up to June 6.

A commercial revolution based on cloud technology broke out since CASIC launched cloud marketing in August last year. From “everyone can do manufacturing” to “everyone can do marketing”, this achievement again proved unlimited power of technology that creates value.

Everyone can do marketing.

When the tide of “clouding” comes, forerunners are the first to sense it. Last year, the campaign of “Inclusion of Millions of Enterprises in Cloud Services” of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology kicked off starting the trend of “clouding” of manufacturing industry of China. CASIC, as the earliest explorer in “clouding” in China, showcased its pioneering spirit and innovation.

“In the future, business opportunities will be transferred from offline to online, from off-link to on-link and from the Internet to the cloud. Eventually, production and market resources will all concentrate on the cloud. Cloud business cluster has become an inevitable trend of development.” In CASIC, Gao Hongwei, Secretary of the Party Leading Group and President of CASIC, made some though-provoking and inspiring remarks on business development.

From launching the first industrial Internet platform “CASICloud” of China to carrying out cloud marketing via CASICloud, and from “everyone can do manufacturing” to “everyone can do marketing”, “clouding” is no longer a trendy word in CASIC, but a means that is used more and more in production and manufacturing, and marketing and sales.

Cloud marketing is a general mobilization made by CASIC in the whole society: Turn products into market commodities, business revenues and profits as soon as possible by use of cloud technology. Cloud marketing provides solutions for breakthrough during transformation and upgrading of CASIC, and during difficult period and at critical points of starting a new undertaking.

In the Internet era, the value of every one can be enlarged infinitely through the network ecosystem, making every one a critical node for striking a deal. Cloud marketing is aimed to tap the value of an individual in “facilitating a transition” in marketing.

At present, exciting achievements have been made. Ever since cloud marketing was launched, CASIC has made a total number of 3,384 transactions, of which 409 were made by employees getting an annual salary, 713 were made by full-time employees, 2,248 were made by ordinary employees and 14 were made by responsible persons of internal organizations. CASIC is making every effort to promote the transformation “everyone can do marketing” to “everyone wants to do marketing”.

A new commercial revolution

By the end of 2018, CASIC Liangli Electric Co., Ltd. of Shenzhen Aerospace Industry Technology Research Institute had signed a contract for smart electric meters via the cloud market, totaling an amount of RMB 3.616 million, making CASIC one of the first few enterprises that have realized a transaction amount of millions of yuan via cloud marketing.

In the first five months of this year, 17 products were connected on the cloud product for civil use of Guizhou Aerospace Fenghua Precision Equipment Co., Ltd. This created a marketing revenue of RMB 30.2957 million, registering a leap growth compared with RMB 3.72 million created by two kinds of products by the end of the last year.

According to the latest data, a total of 2,160 transactions have been made by CASIC through cloud marketing by June 6 of 2019, creating a total contract value of RMB 12.7 billion and a revenue of RMB 5.3 billion. Many signs, whether related to products and the industry, or the whole company, indicate that this “clouding” campaign in the marketing field is triggering a large business revolution.

Cloud marketing reflects a new mode of “mass subcontracting”. In the past, industrial enterprises did marketing by hiring agents or professional salesmen to interact with customers. Under the new mode of marketing, an intermediate link is added, i.e. the marketing personnel as the intermediary. The cloud platform enables every employee of CASIC to bridge between the buyers and the enterprise.

In CASIC, space cups, drones, smart electric meters and so on are included on the cloud marketing platform one by one, and promoted effectively by the marketing personnel and the platform intermediaries. These space products are rapidly turning into commodities, revenues and profits.

For marketing personnel, more benefits are yet to come. Enterprise employees can earn corresponding sales commissions by selling relevant products and services. The rapid way of withdrawing commissions has opened up new ways of money making. The highest commission, i.e. RMB 712,800 for a single transaction via cloud marketing has been earned by the Guizhou Space Appliance by June 6.

The company staff now become more active in participating in cloud marketing after their commissions are paid. Cloud marketing arouses the enthusiasm of staff in marketing, breaks the traditional way of thinking and unleashes unlimited market potential. Undoubtedly, cloud marketing makes the best example of development in terms of innovation of business marketing modes and sales mechanisms.

Build the path of clouding creating a more prospective future.

In 2018, right in front of the desk on which books about block chain and mobile terminal were piled, research and development personnel of CASICloud drafted the business rules and prototype of cloud marketing mode on an A4 paper.

CASIC has been planning on cloud marketing for a long time. CASIC intended to create the new mode of marketing, i.e. cloud marketing, by relying on such features as decentration and tamper-proofing of block chain technology, and by use of the mobile Internet technology.

CASICloud which was brave to be the pioneer a few years ago embarked on a longer journey again to find a channel for cloud marketing on a mature platform and build a new information system to support cloud marketing.

This task was assigned to a young research and development team of CASICloud. The plan was finalized rapidly within two months. Afterwards, intense research and development work began. With an interactive research and development method based on Internet thinking, the research and development personnel succeed in building an information system to support cloud marketing within only two months.

Afterwards, CASICloud set a multi-channel user feedback mechanism to timely and efficiently solve users’ problems through online feedback, feedback from WeChat users group and so on. Thus the system was constantly updated and optimized. The cloud marketing platform is now working more and more smoothly.

Apart from new business links added online and offline, the cloud marketing platform has been gradually expanded to cover the society. At present, CASIC has set a pilot project in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province to assist local enterprises in their development according to local industrial characteristics.
