In 2018, CASIC, as the leading organization, won the special prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award for the fifth time and one China Patent Gold Award, provided a series of pioneering missile weapons and equipment that fill in the gaps and meet emergency requirements in national defense equipment construction, and made a strategic breakthrough from delivery of equipment to delivery of system and capability.

In 2018, CASIC was reported again with good news in commercial launch. KZ-1A successfully completed its second commercial launch, setting a new record for the orbit injection accuracy of solid launch vehicle in China. The successful launch and in-orbit test of the satellite for imaging technique testing of the Hongyun Project marks an important step of China from scratch in the construction of low-orbit broadband communication satellite system.

In just one year, CASIC and Siemens AG jointly built the prototype room of electric coupler intelligent factory. The intelligent manufacturing prototype room is equipped with a set of collaborative manufacturing system of a whole value chain.
