On the morning of September 30, CASIC held a grand flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China.
Liu Shiquan, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CASIC, Xu Qiang, Deputy Secretary of Party Leadership Group, Liu Chuandong, Chief Accountant and Member of the Party Leadership Group, Chen Guoying, Deputy General Manager and Member of the Party Leadership Group, Lin Qing, Leader of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team and Member of the Party Leadership Group, and Gong Bo, Deputy General Manager and Member of the Party Leadership Group, attended the ceremony at CASIC's headquarters.
In the presence of the leaders of the Party Leadership Group of CASIC and all the staff at the headquarters, the bright five-star red flag and CASIC's company flag rose up slowly with the Chinese National Anthem and the Song of CASIC.
Liu Shiquan pointed out in this speech that CASIC held the flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and send sincere wishes to the great motherland. The Party Leadership Group of CASIC would like to express great respect to the cadres and workers, retired leaders and elderly academicians, experts and comrades who have made great contributions to the development of China and the aerospace industry.
Over the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, under the firm leadership of the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission, under the care of Party and state leaders, under the strong coordination of all walks of life and the full support of Chinese people of all ethnic groups, China's aerospace industry has embarked on a path of innovative development with Chinese characteristics and achieved remarkable achievements, providing important strategic support for the Chinese nation to achieve a tremendous transformation from standing up, growing rich to becoming strong.
Over the past 20 years since its establishment, CASIC has always taken "empowering the army with science and technology and serving the nation with aerospace technology" as its sacred mission. Through hard work of all the staff of CASIC, major breakthroughs in core and key technologies and a large number of major innovative achievements have been made, promoting the systemaltization, intelligentization and practical operational capability building of national defense equipment, leading China's commercial aerospace industrialization, and pushing forward the deep integration of the new generation of information technology and the real economy, thus laying a solid foundation for building an aerospace power and realizing the Party's goal of empowering the army in the new era.
As stressed by Liu Shiquan, to forge ahead in the new era and start a new journey, all the Party members and cadres and all the staff of CASIC should closely unite around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, have a strong sense of political responsibility and historical mission, seize every minute, work hard and work well, march forward with more difficulties, and struggle to make outstanding achievements worthy of the Party and the people, the great era and the history, to firmly build the great wall of steel for our motherland, create an aerospace miracle that makes the world sit up and take notice, and make new and greater contributions to building CASIC to a world-leading aerospace defense corporation with global competitiveness, and to realizing the space dream, the dream of a strong army and the Chinese dream.
