On November 4, the opening ceremony of the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Shanghai. President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech via video at the opening ceremony, and emphasized that this year's CIIE is convened at a special time. As scheduled and confident in the containment protocols that have been put in place, China is hosting this global trade event. It demonstrates China's sincere desire to share its market opportunities with the world and contribute to global economic recovery. Going forward, China will stay committed to openness, cooperation and unity for win-win results, and will steadfastly expand all-round opening up and explore more efficient ways to connect domestic and foreign markets and share factors of production and resources. Our aim is to turn the China market into a market for the world, a market shared by all, and a market accessible to all. This way, we will be able to bring more positive energy to the global community.

Yuan Jie said that at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, it was proposed to "persist in implementing opening up to the outside world in a wider scope, in a wider field and at a deeper level and relying on the advantages of China's big market to promote international cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win." Aerospace is one of the most challenging and widely motivating high-tech industries in the world today. A broader, deeper, and higher level of international cooperation is an important development trend for the world's aerospace industry. As one of the important measures for China to firmly support trade liberalization and economic globalization and actively open its market to the world, the Expo has become an important platform for global producers and exporters to explore the Chinese market. The 3rd China International Import Expo is of great significance for fully demonstrating the great strategic achievements made in China's fight against COVID-19, unswervingly expanding the opening up in an all-round way, and promoting the formation of a new development pattern in which the domestic big cycle is the main body and the domestic and international double cycles promote each other.
The Party Leadership Group of CASIC attached great importance to and made well-planned arrangements for the Expo, actively studied and put forward procurement plans based on the actual needs of building a world-leading aerospace and defense company to increases the introduction of new products, and carefully planned and organized on-site signing activities. More than 20 contract signing plans have been formulated, involving 14 countries and regions, automobiles, technical equipment, medical devices and commodities, etc., contributing to the construction of a new development pattern in which the domestic big cycle is the main body and the domestic and international double cycles promote each other.
