March 22 is the Aerospace Quality Day, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) held a quality lecture on this day, which aims to further promote the implementation of the Corporation's quality winning strategy, strengthen the "zero-defect" quality awareness of all employees, and lay the foundation for the accomplishment of the Corporation's tasks in all aspects.
Yuan Jie, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CASIC attended the conference and delivered speech, and Liu Shiquan, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group presided over the lecture. The leaders of the Corporation in office, the principals of departments at the headquarters, the principal Party and government officials and leading group members of each academy, company and its affiliated units, the main person in charge of the "commanders-in-chief and chief designers" system and related departments, and some front-line staff backbone, etc. attended the meeting.
Yuan Jie said that 2021 is the opening year of the "14th Five-Year Plan" of the Corporation, and it is the key year to implement the requirements of the Strategic Work Meeting of the Corporation and to implement the quality winning strategy. Considering the heavy tasks undertaken by the Corporation, to ensure the successful completion of scientific research and production tasks and equipment delivery responsibility in spite of great pressure, we need to further strengthen quality management, enhance quality awareness.
To push on with the follow-up quality work of the Corporation, Yuan Jie put forward three requirements: First, to promote the aerospace quality culture, establish the "zero defect" quality awareness of all staff, leaders at all levels should take the lead to implement, each unit should strengthen the "zero defect" quality awareness of all staff to enhance quality culture development, each unit should effectively combine the "zero-defect" quality culture with the unit's management process based on characteristics of the unit's scientific research and production and various tasks, to achieve substantial results; second, we should understand the situation, effectively identify and prevent major risks, strengthen quality control, strictly implement the quality responsibility system, ensure good design, understand the technology thoroughly, enhance process quality control and supplier management and improve quality supervision representative system to ensure success completion of major tasks; third, we should reinforce technological support for quality, improve quality assurance capability, strengthen the construction of quality management system, promote the implementation of aerospace defense standardization strategy, continuously carry out quality professional training and "zero-defect" quality training and education, and strengthen quality professional capacity building to ensure the smooth progress of the work.
Yuan Jie stressed that all units of the Corporation should, under the overall leadership of the Party, implement the new development concept on the new development stage, build a new development pattern, implement the quality winning strategy, strengthen the "zero defect" quality consciousness of all staff to promote the high-quality development of the Corporation, and to ensure a good start of the "14th Five-Year Plan", to embark on a new journey of building a world-class aerospace defense corporation, and to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with excellent achievements.
During the seminar, Freeman Young, President of Crosby Management Institute, gave a lecture on the topic of comprehensive quality improvement and "zero-defect" quality management methods.
