In terms of the pipe bending, in the past, Feng repeatedly measured angles and distances based on the drawings and controlled the force by feeling. Therefore, at most a dozen of metal pipes could be finished, even if he and his colleagues worked all the day.
Now, process drawings are 3D drawings. The machine receives the commands issued by the MES system and then, completes the production operations according to the set procedure and sends the finished products to the testing station. At present, various indicators and data will be uploaded to the cloud immediately after the operator scans the finished product with laser measuring equipment. And then, the machine will automatically generate test results after automatically testing those indicators and data based on the standards. Feng laughed and said that “the vernier calipers used by us in the past are idle devices at present”.
In terms of the whole No. 695 Company, the operation team for 12 devices was composed of 10-12 operators in the past while only 2 operators are required at present. The effective cutting rate of the spindle of machine tool has been improved to 80% from 30%.
