On December 8, the three-day 2017 International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Expo opened in Beijing, with the theme of "sharing and innovation." Jiao Kaihe -- a vice chairman and the Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, He Junke -- the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League Central Committee and the Chairman of the All-China Youth Federation, Fang Xiangming -- a Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and a vice President of CASIC, and other officers visited the Expo on the opening day.
CASIC, with its youth entrepreneurship & innovation achievements, "Craftsmen of the Nation" innovation outcomes, and integrity-related entrepreneurship & innovation achievements shown at the Expo, received extensive attention there. CASIC won the "Central Enterprise Mass Entrepreneurship & Innovation Demonstration Award" and the "Mass Entrepreneurship & Innovation Special Contribution Award" of this year's Expo, the "Complex Product Collaborative Design Platform & Technology" project of the 2nd department of 2nd Academy of CASIC was awarded the "Mass Entrepreneurship & Innovation Project Gold Award", and I-XINNUO won the "Mass Entrepreneurship & Innovation Demonstration Award for Scientific and Technological Innovation".
The center at the entrance of main exhibition hall was arranged with the exhibition of the achievements of the 3rd "CASIC Cup" Central Enterprise Youth Innovation Award. Under the unified organization of the Working Committee of Central Enterprises' Communist Youth League, a total of 57 award-winning projects of 37 central enterprises were showcased at this Expo. The 3rd Central Enterprise Youth Innovation Award was named after "CASIC Cup"; the corresponding selection was carried out based on China’s first industrial Internet platform -- CASICloud, and featured the "combination of online and offline activities". Over 4,000 projects were solicited, being nearly 4 times the sum of projects collected by the previous two expos. The direct economic benefit generated by the short-listed projects was nearly RMB 20 billion, and the output value created was up to RMB 100 billion. This drove 5 million young people from central enterprises to use CASICloud, and thus made the "mass entrepreneurship & innovation" effect take shape.
Through the selection, 10 youth innovation projects declared by enterprises including CASIC, State Grid Corporation of China, and Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. were awarded with the Gold Award. In addition, the communist youth league committees of 22 central enterprises represented by CASIC won the "Outstanding Organization Award".
Currently, on the basis of opening up its own innovation and entrepreneurial resources, CASIC has built an increasingly sophisticated innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, successfully created a new ecology of sharing economy development featuring "enterprises being organized while resources being released", and let the "mass entrepreneurship & innovation" of central enterprises develop towards wider range, higher level, and deeper extent. At the same time, CASIC relied on the industrial Internet to build platforms, and the communist youth leagues at all levels took advantage of the resources available. All these contributed to the initial realization of the combination between industry and finance, the cooperation between central and local enterprises, and the integration of communist youth leagues and enterprises, and made "consolidating the youth, serving in big-picture terms, acting as bridges, and strengthening the self-governance of communist youth league" more dynamic and attractive.
In the "Craftsmen of the Nation" exhibition area of ??CASIC, the images of 15 "craftsmen of the nation" from the 2nd Academy, 3rd Academy, 4th Academy, and 6th Academy appeared on the exhibition board. Over the years, CASIC has always been advocating the spirits of model workers and craftsmen. It has nurtured a group of "craftsmen of the nation" such as the national-level technician Gong Peng and the national model worker Dai Tianfang, and has pulled powerful positive energy for the social development.
A major highlight of this Expo was the addition of the China Youth Integrity Expo exhibition area, where CASIC also demonstrated its "mass entrepreneurship & innovation" achievements. Aisino Corporation of CASIC has built a complete set of enterprise credit evaluation system by accumulating cross-industry big data in various fields such as taxation and public security for many years, and founded I-XINNUO to actively serve for the establishment of youth integrity "mass entrepreneurship & innovation" system. I-XINNUO has made active exploration in respect of the supply-side structural reform of "mass entrepreneurship & innovation" service. At present, it has formed a new model of "enterprise credit investigation + mass entrepreneurship & innovation service", and has achieved fruitful results in fields such as development of youth innovation environment, inclusive finance, and investment and financing services.
During the Expo, He Junke stopped three times at the exhibition of the achievements of the 3rd "CASIC Cup" Central Enterprise Youth Innovation Award, inquired about the contents and application significance of the "Complex Product Collaborative Design Platform & Technology" -- the gold-award-winning project of CASIC, and pointed out that "it is necessary to improve the design efficiency and quality of complex products through collaborative design, and this can be promoted in all general departments." He also encouraged the young people of CASIC to make innovation in a bold manner by standing on their respective posts.
In the CASIC exhibition area, Fang Xiangming listened to the introduction of relevant people in charge on innovation achievements. He congratulated the 4 project teams of CASIC that respectively won the Gold, Silver, and Copper Awards of Central Enterprise Youth Innovation Award this time, and asked whether the outcomes were available for promotion. Fang valued the spirit of and the passion for innovation of the young people nowadays. He believed that the key to cultivating young people’s innovation ability lies in the establishment of platforms; not only CASIC itself shall build platforms for young people to display their talent and innovate, but also the conferences and forums like this Expo shall be provided to promote the exchanges of young people and all social parts. He said "this requires the trade unions and communist youth leagues at all levels to work hard."
The intensive display of the "mass entrepreneurship & innovation" achievements of more than 30 central enterprises in the exhibition hall also deeply impressed Fang. He believed that the scientific and technological innovation today cannot need the power of "coordination" any more. He said that "any kind of technology and product can hardly be accomplished by only one party. In the future, the products of CASIC will need not only nation-wide but also world-wide coordination."
In Fang's view, the central enterprises including CASIC shall integrate the sophisticated technologies in their respective fields with the civilian use in a better way, and thus contribute more to the national economic development. He expected that here will come the complementary advantages of central enterprises and private enterprises, and there will be more splendidness in respect of the integration of military and civilian development.
It is understood that there were 19 serial seminars during this year's Expo, including the Frontier Forum for Communist Youth Leagues of Committees of Major Cities Serving for Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the "Craftsmen of the Nation" and National Development & Innovation Forum, the Innovation Forum for Real Economy Revitalizing Actions of Young Chinese Entrepreneurs, the National "Integrity Illuminating China" Summary Activities, the Rural Revitalization and "Mass Entrepreneurship & Innovation" New Opportunity Summit Forum, the Forum for Deans of Enterprise Education Colleges of High Schools, and so on.
The participation of CASIC in this Expo was strongly supported by the 2nd Academy, 3rd Academy, 4th Academy, Aisino Corporation, CASICloud, and related branches.
