“CASICloud adopts INDICS+CMSS (Industrial Internet Cloud Space + Cloud Manufacturing Support System) to establish and maintain the ecosystem for cloud manufacturing industry clusters based on the industrial Internet.”
On June 15, Gao Hongwei, the Chairman and Secretary of Party Committee of CASIC, mainly introduced the strategic objectives of creating the ecosystem for cloud manufacturing industry clusters by CASICloud at the main forum of the 2018 Industrial Internet Summit Forum (hereinafter referred to as “the Summit Forum”).
The theme of this forum is “Cloud Driving and Smart-based Future”. This forum is sponsored by the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government, the Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Commission, the Office of the National Defense Industry of Sichuan Province and CASIC, and undertaken by CASICloud Technology Development Co., Ltd. under the guidance of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Central Committee of the Communist Young League and the Alliance of Industrial Internet. This forum is composed of the main forum and sub-forums, and was held in Chengdu on June 14 and June 15.
Gao Hongwei, the Chairman and Secretary of Party Committee of CASIC, attended the main forum and delivered a speech. The main forum was presided over by Song Xin, a Vice President and a member of Party Committee of CASIC.
Peng Yuxing, a Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, Luo Qiang, a Deputy Secretary of Municipal Committee and the Mayor of Chengdu, Li Bohu and Liu Yunjie, Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, experts at home and abroad, officers of national ministries and commissions, officers of the Sichuan Provincial Government, social organizations in the field of industrial Internet, research institutes and experts and scholars from outstanding enterprises attended the forum.
Gao stated in his speech at the main forum that, at present, the global manufacturing industry is about to enter a special historical stage in which a new round of production mode changes and enterprise system changes will be promoted simultaneously. There are three optional paths: 1. starting with the intelligentization of equipment and gradually extending to the intelligentization of production lines, the intelligentization of workshops and the intelligentization of factories based on the sophisticated CSP, and making efforts to achieve the goal of Industry 4.0 by creating intelligent manufacturing platforms (hereinafter referred to as the German Model). This model is characterized by the fact that the change of the enterprise system and the operating model can lag behind the change of production modes, and it is more secure. 2. With the vertical supporting system having realized intelligent manufacturing basically, on the basis of the offline work division and layout of global collaborative manufacturing, building a global online platform for collaborative manufacturing and collaborative after-sales services, and keeping on maintaining the leading position in the vertical work division system of the global manufacturing industry (hereinafter referred to as the American Model). 3. Under the precondition that most enterprises do not have the intelligent manufacturing capabilities and have not completed the information transformation of their operation processes, and are impossible to complete the intelligent transformation and information transformation in a short time, starting from the change of the production mode of cloud manufacturing, and carrying out the adjustment and change of the enterprise system in the process of gradually implementing the intelligent transformation of manufacturing capabilities and the information transformation of operation processes of enterprises. Based on the development in this model, the transformation from cloud manufacturing to collaborative manufacturing, and from collaborative manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing will be realized finally by “gradually deepening from top to bottom”.
Gao further pointed out that CASICloud selected the third development path: establishing the public cloud platform in the industry field at first, starting with creating the ecosystem for cloud manufacturing industry clusters, focusing on resource allocation of main market players around the country and optimization of business processes, cooperating with the group transformation of the manufacturing industry in China, providing focused services for the transformation of the production modes of small-sized enterprises and micro-enterprises, satisfying the need for the transformation of the organizational structure and enterprise system, gradually progressing from perspectives of “saving money, getting money and making money” in respect of cloud enterprises and making every effort to create the ecosystem for cloud manufacturing industry clusters.
Gao stressed that: CASICloud’s internal commercial driver is 3 M’s (to save money, to get money and to make money). Its internal commercial logic is to promote the interaction among technology innovation，business model innovation and management innovation, and further promote the enterprise transformation and industrial upgrading.
As of June 2018, as the public platform for the industrial Internet, CASICloud has been launched for three years. In the past three years, CASICloud has achieved satisfactory results, which preliminarily verified that the development path of “gradually deepening from top to bottom” for the industrial Internet with Chinese characteristics is feasible and rational.
According to the latest data, nearly 1.7 million enterprises in 179 countries and regions around the world have registered in CASICloud, and they have issued nearly 150,000 cooperation and purchase demands, with an amount of over RMB 420 billion (including internationally issued cooperation and purchase demands with a value of about $ 2 billion); cooperation and purchase transactions with a total value more than RMB 210 billion (including international transactions with a value more than $ 400 million), in which over 50% of the transactions are less than RMB 22,500, and 80% of the transactions are less than RMB 1 million; nearly 900,000 sets of equipment are linked to the cloud platform, with approximately 200,000 sets on line; there are nearly 1.4 million data collection points.
At the main forum, CASIC released products such as CMSS (Cloud Manufacturing Support System), “one brain, one cab, two rooms and two stations”, cloud manufacturing quality assurance capability evaluation and cloud manufacturing performance capability evaluation. CASICloud APP adopts CMSS as a carrier to thoroughly support three types of manufacturing, namely intelligent manufacturing, collaborative manufacturing and cloud manufacturing. It can provide supports for the entire manufacturing chain in respect of the overall production elements, the entire process and the whole life cycle, and various industrial services and solutions. At present, there are nearly 1,600 CASICloud APPs in total.
At the main forum, the Sichuan Industrial Cloud Manufacturing Innovation Center was unveiled and will use CASICloud’s industrial Internet technologies to explore new modes of cooperation between central enterprises and local enterprises. Academicians and experts at home and abroad including Li Bohu and Liu Yunjie delivered keynote speeches to discuss key issues such as the development of industrial Internet steered by the next-generation artificial intelligence technology, how the network will assist the development of industrial Internet in the future, German Industry 4.0 and the development of China's industrial Internet.
At the forum, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and CASIC signed a strategic cooperation agreement, and the award ceremony of the 2nd APP Contest of “CASICloud Cup” was also held. “JUNZHIIP.COM", won an award.
In the afternoon of June 14, the six sub-forums were held at the same time, and comprehensive analyses and debates were conducted focusing on the topics such as intelligent manufacturing, industrial big data, advanced manufacturing facilitating regional economy development, military-civil integration, industrial software and applications, and the cooperation and development of the Sino-German industrial cloud platform.
In the morning of June 14, on the eve of the Summit Forum, guests present visited the “Intelligent Plant Demonstration Line of Chengdu Hipad Intelligent” and the “National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data Application Technology in Chengdu” to further explore the development achievements of CASICloud in intelligent manufacturing and industrial big data.
CASICloud has been in operation for three years, and is advancing at full speed. As Gao Hongwei emphasized, in the future, CASIC will mobilize all sectors of society to actively participate in the construction of the ecosystem for cloud manufacturing industry clusters, to add new luster to “Made in China” and to work together to create a new era of global manufacturing.
